As a New York City newborn photographer, one of the services I provide to clients is wardrobe guidance. Since outfits can make such a big difference to the look of your photos, I love to be able to help guide clients to the best options and assist them in coordinating between all family members. Today I’m excited to share this recent newborn session which provides a great example of an outfit change from a more relaxed look to a dressier one (and not taking any credit here, new mom Lauren chose these great outfits on her own!). I fully support the idea of outfit changes for an in home newborn session. I figure, you’re home, it’s easy to change, you get more variety in the gallery, so why not! As you can see, Lauren chose a gorgeous blue dress with great texture for a more dressed up look, and then switched out to a more laidback, neutral tone-on-tone look – and her husband coordinated as well. I hope this post will provide inspiration and ideas for anyone trying to figure out what to wear for their newborn session!
Baby Luke was also very well-dressed in his adorable neutral gingham outfit! Perfect subtle pattern.
