In Home Newborn Photography NYC: A Beautiful Session in an Inspiring Nursery
Considering an in home newborn photography NYC session? I’m excited to share a recent one! We did the whole session in the beautiful baby nursery, which was designed by this talented mom (see more of her wonderful work here). It just goes to show that you don’t need a bunch of rooms or a large space for an in home newborn photography session, NYC based or anywhere else! We got a huge variety in this gallery just by staying in this one room. And it was a joy to photograph there because I absolutely love how René designed this nursery! It’s so cute for a little boy, but you can see that it will also grow with him as he gets older.
We did three outfit changes for baby in this in home newborn photography NYC session, and that helped to add a lot of nice variety to the photos as well. There was the cute light blue sailor outfit above, the white onesie with blue trim you can see below, and then we also used the beautiful Beaufort Bonnet Co. bow swaddle.
I love in home newborn photography sessions for my clients because you’re able to stay in your own space, where you’re most comfortable and have everything you need for baby. You don’t have to gather up equipment and tons of extra items and travel somewhere. In addition, we’re able to preserve the memories of the first home that you bring your baby home to, which is really special.
Families often ask me if they need a nursery in order to do an in home newborn photography NYC session. The answer is, not at all! When there is a lovely nursery like this, of course it’s fun to capture all of those special details. But even if you don’t have a nursery (many families living in NYC don’t, due to space constraints), or a home that feels decorated or complete, we can still have your photography session in your apartment. I’ve photographed in all different types of spaces (large, small, decorated, undecorated, well-lit, not so well-lit…NYC has it all), and we’re always able to create beautiful imagery!
