Today I’m excited to share a beautiful maternity photoshoot with dogs in Central Park. This couple was really interested in having a maternity session that incorporated their two beloved pups, and I was thrilled to make that happen for them. Pets are part of the family too, and are always welcome at sessions! It was really meaningful to document these special moments with this couple and their dogs before their baby’s arrival, and I know they’ll be really happy to have these memories to look back on.

There are lots of fun things we can do with dogs at a maternity photoshoot (or any kind of photoshoot!). Dogs love coming to Central Park and exploring so they’re usually happy to participate. We can incorporate your dogs into a session by walking with them, holding them, leaning down and snuggling with them, petting them, or standing with them. All of these things make for fun, sweet, and interactive images in your gallery!

I recommend having fun choosing some cute and color coordinating leashes, collars, or bows for your pups like this couple did.

We’ll also take time to give the dogs a break and get some images with just the humans. The dogs are happy to supervise, of course 😉
